About Kung Pao Kitchen

One dish is a beginning, not a boundary

We help English-speaking readers understand Chinese dishes: what they taste like, how they differ, and what to ask before ordering. Kung Pao chicken is our starting point; our growing Chinese food guide explores the table around it.

How to read our guides

New dish introductions identify their references and distinguish general descriptions from a particular cook’s recipe. A researched introduction is not a claim of kitchen testing, medical advice, a restaurant visit or official certification. We do not infer ingredients or authenticity from a photograph.

Our earlier archive

This site began as a playful “World Kung Pao Organization” archive. Some older articles retain that theatrical voice. It is a fictional framing, not a government body or culinary certification authority. Photo uploading, verdict games and the war map have been retired. Existing article addresses remain available.

Variations and dietary needs

Restaurant and household preparations vary. Check ingredients, stock and preparation directly with the kitchen if you have dietary restrictions. A menu name or photograph cannot establish allergen safety.

Updates and corrections

We prefer a clear, sourced correction to a stronger-sounding claim. Dates should reflect substantive changes, not automatic freshness updates. Sources appear alongside new guides so readers can check the underlying preparations.
